BIO

 

Founded in 2015, the band consists of six musicians that have collaborated together in efforts to push the envelope of live, organic hip hop music outside their "city limits".  Residing on the west side of the island of Oah'u, The City Limits are Jarrett Marquez, Tyler Donovan, DJ Ramos, Ely Macadangdang, and Hawaii hip hop artist, Creed Chameleon. 

 

Although The City Limits focus is mainly on organic hip hop music, the group has background in jazz, classical, reggae, funk, R&B, soul, metal, and indie rock.  All band members have had experience doing live shows opening for such acts like Nas, Action Bronson, Year Of The Ox, Tech N9ne, Wu-Tang Clan, AJ Rafael, Kapena, Esta, After 7, Blue Scholars, and Atmosphere.  They also have done music tours and festivals such as Vans Warped Tour, Intraisland Music Tour, and Rock The Bells.  The band has successfully completed a west coast tour titled this past July, The Golden Era District Tour, performing in cities such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix and San Jose.

 

Currently, they are working on their first group project and anticipating to drop in Summer 2017.
